Оболенский Леонид Егорович (псевдоним М.И. Красов) - русский философ, социолог, журналист и писатель.
Родился в дворянской семье. Учился в Медико-хирургической академии, Санкт-Петербургском университете и на юридическом факультете Московского университета. Был близок к народникам. Арестован по делу Д.В. Каракозова и заключен в Петропавловскую крепость (1868). Затем выслан из Петербурга. В 1870 получил разрешение на переезд в Орел. Находился под надзором полиции до 1878 года, занимался адвокатской практикой. Редактировал журналы "Свет" (1878-1879), "Мысль" (1880-1881), "Русское богатство" (1882-1891), сотрудничал с журналами "Русское богатство", "Вопросы философии и психологии". От увлечения позитивизмом перешел к разработке собственной философской концепции - «панфилософии», исходящей из идеи о "единой однородной материально-идеальной субстанции". Состоял в переписке с Л.Н. Толстым.
Умер в 1906 году в Санкт-Петербурге. Дед актера и режиссера Леонида Оболенского.
